About Us
Our Background
We are a community based humanitarian, charitable, voluntary, non-profit making and non-political South Sudanese indigenous Non Governmental Organization (SSINGO). MASRA evolved from a community welfare association formed by Magwi county community in 1994.
MASRA was conceived in early 2000, registered in November 2001 with then Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Association and registered 2007 as a Sudanese indigenous NGO (SINGO).
We are now fully recognized by the Republic of South Sudan, Eastern Equatoria State Government, Magwi County Authorities, Key partners and the community it is set to serve.
Vision
To be a leader of a dynamic, equitable and sustainable rural development in Eastern Equatoria State.
Mission
To alleviate poverty, promote sustainable development, cultural and social wellbeing of the population in the State.
Our Aims
1.
To promote community-based partnership in enhancing self-reliance, alleviating poverty, developing human resources and restoring hope and dignity of the communities in the state.
2.
To participate in reviving selfconfidence in the communities and return them to the route of selfdevelopment and self-reliance.
3.
To stimulate and support sustainable community programs based on community priorities and needs.
4.
To complement rather than duplicate the efforts of other partner agencies operating in the County.
